What do I WANT?

I use to wonder why I would ask someone

"What do you want in your life?"

They would proceed to tell me

"Well I don't want to... or Well I will tell you what I don't want!"

Really? Cause that is not what I asked you!

Why can we so easily list all the things we don't want in our life? This morning, as I lay awake at 3 am and very unhappy with some of the directions my life is taking (not all just a couple areas).. I then asked myself the same question.

"What do I want?"

Low and behold, I began to list all the things I knew I was fed up of, everything I no longer wanted. Why? Because that is exactly what my life looks like right now. I am LIVING the life I don't want! (Ok not completely but there are definitely areas that need to be changed)

So how do you change it? FLIP IT! Examples:

I don't want to feel tired and run down everyday FLIP IT TO I want feel energetic and full of passion everyday!

I don't want to be in a relationship that is dull, passionless and not connected FLIP IT TO I want a relationship that is full of passion, connected and in love everyday.

I don't want to be overweight FLIP IT TO I want to have a healthy body with a healthy shape!

Half the battle is our thoughts and our words. The other half is putting it into ACTION! This may be the hardest part as essentially we are breaking patterns. The hardest step is always the first one.

Ask yourself:

"What can I do to get what I want?"

Use your imagination first. Imagine what it would be like to be living what you want. What would be doing? Who would be there? How would you feel? What would it look like?

This is the great thing about imagination, if you don't like it, imagine again!

I also suggest writing it down. Have you ever noticed that WRITE and RIGHT are pronounced the same. It is hard to deny when it is written down.

It is good to have goals, so let's actually write down what we want and create the life we want together.

Next is just choosing one thing that you can do to get you closer towards what you DO want. Just pick one thing, once you are in forward motion you will see the next steps.

Then the next time someone asks you:

"What do you want in your life?"

You will be able to answer in the positive... or better yet you will be able to say that YOU HAVE IT!

Want away...

Why do I have to have a card for every store?

Ok I am so fed up with having a KAZILLION cards just to get a discount in a store. It drives me nuts. Every time you are at the register the person says "Do you have a card?". YES can you give me about 10 minutes to go through all of my KAZILLION cards to find yours?

RIDICULOUS!

I feel like I am put in a rock and a hard place. I want the discounts (I love a good deal) but I always need a card.

Usually the cards are free (except for Chapters - why do we have to pay for a discount card Chapters?)... I digress... but who is going to pay for my chiropractor bill cause I have to carry them around?!?!

I remember when we use to have cheques and cash. NO debit cards, NO credit cards and NO discount cards. I remember the good ol' days when a SALE.. was just that A SALE! No cards needed. It was simpler then.

My friend was even more horrified of the disarray of my cards, I had a rubber band around them - half a foot high! No wallet could contain these babies.

She surprised me today with a great gift; she found a great card holder at the Dollar Store and handmade a great cover for it. It holds all my cards, my business cards, cash and room for more!

What shocked me more was cleaning out my purse. I am surprised I did not find an old moldy hamburger in there! The good news is there were lots of surprises like: 2 FREE nights out at the movie with a hot date, 2 unused gift certificates, a Free Timmy's coffee, $10 worth of change (for more coffee) and at least 1 plastic bag full of junk!

You should check out MomoMushy (who made this for me); I am pretty sure she can make anything! She will also be at our Diva Delight Expo on June 7. Thanks to her, I feel organized and probably want to shop more so I can whip out The Stores Discount Card in record time! (I will send you the bill Momo!)

If the day ever comes where you need a discount card for a dollar store; I may stage a protest. I mean REALLY.. Where do we draw the line?

Knowing me though, I will probably cave, it is the discount shopper in me, I need the deal!

Sigh.
